A Cupcake challenge

This post should have happened yesterday, but with cleaning a bathroom, vacuming, cleaning my room, giving myself a pedicure, a trip to Stater Bros and then dinner to cook time just slipped away. So here I am today.

Okay my husband changed the channel tonight and guess what was on? The Matrix, seriously. Just before my favorite scene (one of them;)where Neil and Trinity go in the high security building to rescue Morphius and kick butt. Todays favorite movies for me are Shawshank Redemption and Beaches. I cant watch Beaches to often because I cry like baby every time.

Lets see so far I have told you a few movie favorites, Matrix, and Alien.
Today I confess that I really like Jaws 1& 2 ( I know how corny )My Aunt took me to see this movie at the movie theater when I was about 5. I remember being really scared and hideing my face in her chest. I took my 5 yo son to see Deep Blue (shark movie)in 1998, he was scared and hid his face in my chest. I didnt think it would be scarey for him, I felt so bad. But it was a suspenseful movie!




Below is another challenge card, I so like it!!! The adorable paper called A Little Birds Tale is foiled cardstock,some of the houses have colored foiled roofs and doors. And if you look closely you will see a little birdie perched on a roof or two. Now the challenge calls for you to use all five colors somewhere on the card. Most colors are througout the card but only a hint of chocolate on the brads and a piece of organdy ribbon. I stamped the birdie on a vellum scalloped circle because I didnt want to hide any of that cute, cute paper. I stamped the birdie again in Amethyst and cut out the belly and wing to pop dot them on the circle,I added a brown bitty brad for her eye. How about that the arglye embossing on the Amethyst cardstock.

How was your Saturday? I rose early 8:30 ( I never do that ), worked on some swap items, packed them up and mailed them off. I visited my local Michaels and sat through a cookie exchange demo by Wilton. Thinking I may do one of these, looks so fun and what a way to get together with friends before the holidays!!

Well I am on another one of my marathons, tonights is Alien. Remember that old classic? Another favorite movie.

Todays card uses a sketch I have used before, its now a fav. You know when you find one you like its okay to use it ALOT! I wasnt so crazy about the colors and cant remember how I came up with them as I created this card back in June and never posted it. Maybe it was a color challenge, but I do likey the card! Take a peek.

Hello Wednesday!!

I am on a roll with the challenges!! Tooting my own horn, so proud of myself. This card is for Taylors cupcake challenge and a new stamp set to create it with :) How about that paper, had it for at least 3 years.

Who out there is ready for some Top Chef?? This is such a favorite for me, Iam rooting for Michael Vataggio, with Kevin running in close second. How about you, let me know.

Well tomorrow is Thursday (like u didnt know that), and when you get up in the morning you can say tomorrows Friday!!! Next week I am off for Thanksgiving break so this Friday is really a WOOHOO day for me and every body who works in education!






I popped the tail and wing off the paper on my little birdie, a perfect touch! Added a bitty brad for her eye.

Our Creative Corner challenge

Hello blog world!!! Happy Monday to you!

Hope everyone had a FABULOUS weekend, me I attended a concert saturday night.It was a musical concert that was all dance and Mime, I have never seen anything like it. It was gospel and the dancers were all teenage-young adult, such emotion and body language. The mimes were my favorite.

Sunday I prepared a yummy pork loin recipe with pears and shallots, did I say yummy!!
Watched a 2 day Matrix marathon, YEP two days. The Matrix is a top favorite that I can watch over and over, back to back!


Today I have posted a OCC challenge,it is a postcard challenge. The directions were to use the sketch layout as inspiration and have fun and I did! I am glad that I am participating in these it helps me stamp and use my supplies.

Oh My its been over a week since my last post, Iam going to keep this short its late and I am so tired. Sorry for the bad lighting, but its dark and I had to use my flash. I will be retaking these pics tomorrow and reposting. Its a Our Creative Challenge. I have had my eye on this stamp forever and finally its mine!!








I used monochromatic colors in the blue family, even stamped the dress in heavenly blue and added some prisma glitter to give the dress a formal feel.

AAWWHHH so pretty, I would buy and wear these too! This set of 3 Fancy High Heels by Hero Arts is the best!!

Can you tell that I have been playing with my newest nesstie, yeah I know this one has been around forever but its new in my house. I have also been adding new shelves to my closet, collecting storage boxes and organizing my closet space in my craft studio.

One last thing I am looking to buy a watermark, if you know of someone who creates and sells them please leave the info in a post.I tried contacting Beth from freckled fun but didnt hear back from her, I dont know if she has stopped selling them. THANKS!
