Its Official

Iam now a member of the SISTERHOOD OF THE BLOGGING STAMPERS,Iam in group 23. This is a whole new avenue to meet and bond with sisters with the same passion STAMPING & BLOGGING.

My first official order of business is to share a little about myself, so here goes.

I live in Southern Calif, Iam a wife, mother of 2 teenage sons, Close to my Heart consultant, part time Interior design student (taking the semester off) and full time employee. In college I was fashion design major, I have always loved color and patterns.I love putting things together! I married, quit my job and started a family right away.I put school on hold because all I wanted to do was drink eat and sleep my baby. I soon, very soon 18 months later had another baby, I loved every minute of it. I stayed home for 5 years loving my boys. I was introduced to stamping when my second son was just a newborn. My first catalog was PSX, personal stamp exchange. I couldnt afford to get into it then and just drooled over that catalog. Two years later when I started my part time job I was given a SU catalog OH MY GOSH, attended my first party and that began it all. A few months later I was given a Close to my Heart catalog, OH MY GOSH, OH MY GOSH, had a party and earned lots of free stuff. Then our citys first ever stamp/scrapbook store opened up next door to my job. I spent everyday in that store and I was making some money to boot, you know what was occuring RIGHT? I eventually signed up to be a consultant, that was 7 years ago in September.

I love this craft, its so fulfilling. I love everything about it, the creativity, the products available, the friends, the avenues to meet new friends, the shopping LOL. You know what I mean? Now the sisterhood, this is going to be amazing. I cant wait to share with them and meet each one. I have to post my sisters blog in my sidebar and show them some love. Here Iam sisters, let the fun begin!!!

Well its sunday night late and I should be in bed reading, but wanted to pop in and share my weekend work. Nothing great about this weekend, OH yeah I did go to a SU party, we made two cards. I really miss my acrylic stamps after using two step woodies. The cards were cute. The first piece of art is a layout that took me at least 3 days to finish. I was keeping it simple but kept getting stumped, am I using enough embellishment, should it be a little busier, is it bland, shouldnt my pictures match better. Then the moving of every thing, argghh. Do you ever have a tuff time putting things down and moving on. Heres where you can learn how to make the paper flowers.

It took me two years to use this set

Can you believe that, I fell in love with it the moment I saw it. Having two sons of my own it tugged at my heart. I think the colors and pattern paper work perfectly with this set. I used Taylors cupcake challenge, taking another stab at winning a prize. I really like the card!!

PS I survived shopping yesterday, it wasnt so bad. We went to 7 stores five in the mall and had lunch at the Red Robbin inside the mall. Now that was a different story lots of name calling and pointing out each others flaws. Does it ever stop? I banned all negative talk, they of course became creative. Its been along time since I have had dinner with just the two of them. I told them I wanted one day a week for 1-1 1/2hrs with them one on one, you should have seen there faces. You know maybe get milkshake or ice cream and just talk, when were out and about they want to talk more. I'll let you know how that goes.

Well school starts tomorrow and that means work starts for me. Have a great monday!!!

Hello!!! Today I have the pleasure of taking my sons school shopping, OH JOY. Now I love to shop but being in the mall with 90% of the valley while they shop for school clothes does not excite me. Iam sure I will hear and see lots of agitated parents with highly stressed voices. Belive it or not my youngest son does not want to go and told me he didnt need any new clothes, but just 3 weeks ago he told me none of his pants fit. He hates to shop but my oldest son loves to shop. Maybe I will slip a new top or two in this shopping spree, you know in order to survive the whole ordeal!!!!

I finally made something with my Heidi Swapp playing cards. They are 5x7 in size and there are 54 cards,so I have a lot of creating to do. I dont know if I will make this a theme or just a hodge spodge of creative stuff.

This card is of me, the paper uses alot of orange my favorite color!

I having some creative challenges right now, I have a layout and my giant playing cards on my desk and cant seem to get creative with them. BUT I did start work this week and believe its slowing me down, its also so BORING at work because my students dont start until monday.

What a great day

My aunt gave a birthday luncheon for her sister and herself (Ladies only).Her birthday was today and her sisters is on the 9th. When they were little my grandmother gave them birthday parties together. They always had a cake with both their names on it,today after probably 30 years they had one again. There favorite colors purple for the birthday girls and yellow for the sis. check it out.


We played games and had some fun prizes, we laughed and laughed and ate good food.
Some of us performed, I love my cousins and aunts.

The beautiful one on the far left is the youngest niece and will soon start her sophomore year @ Cal Poly Tech, she is a engineer major. She is a character. Iam the oldest niece. The beautiful one in the middle with the stripe shirt white color will deliver a beautiful baby boy next month.There all beautiful,love my girls!!!

Its Saturday, I know you already know that. This is my last weekend of vacation, monday its back to work. I wish we had a traditional school year and school didnt start until the monday after labor day.

Anyway Im trying to hold on to my MOJO, I want to do som much and its almost like Iam afraid to step out there. I feel like maybe I dont have it, you know the right creative juices. Why cant I sit down and just go for it. I look at others work and think wow thats beautiful, that so creative. I know I can do, but Im holding back on taking the plunge, its more on my scrapbooking that I feel this way. Maybe this is what happens when you dont scrap for a long long time. I would like to get published and my hubby always encourages me he thinks my work is great ( dont all Hubbies), I feel like maybe I aint got it, everything I see is so amazing.

I realized that I dont take nearly as many pictures of my boys as I used to, its like I stop recording there life after grade school. Terrible, there so darn handsome. I purchased a new camera back in May and I am a little overwhelmed by it. Its a Canon rebel xti, it takes beautiful pictures but there so much to learn, I want to take a class so someone can talk me through learning EVERYTHING this camera can do and how to do it. There is a class offered at our JC this fall BUT its on saturday 9AM- 3PM. Are you kidding me thats all stinkin day and not to mention 9AM on a saturday, I love to sleep in on sat. and Iam not a morning person, more like a BEAR. Guess thats not going to work.

Today I am attempting to work on my Heidi Swapp giant playing cards, and I would like to make some party favors and a birthday banner for my 2 aunts birthday lucheon tomorrow. I really need to get motivated here its already 2:07 and Im crabby. Its probably because my phone started ringing at 9am this morn and I just told you Iam not a morning person, so that erked the heck out of me. Everybody close to me knows not to call me before 11am. My aunt called at 10:35 WHAT. Okay enough rambling, if your still reading thanks for letting me vent.
