Hello Friends!!! I hope your Christmas was all you wanted it to be. I have not stamped anything until Tuesday the 29th. I just havent been in the stamping mood, I have been enjoying my family and time off. Heres a little recap, if your interested :)
My birthday was a smashing HIT, if you recall I am a Christmas eve baby and sometimes my birthday is not much fun. Everything closes early, the malls are usually a zoo and people are busy finishing up last minute preperations. Parties and get togethers are not always possible, me living 45 min away from family doent help, I can forget a concert. Anyway I spent the day in the mall (it was super mellow) doing some last minute shopping and lots of ME shopping. The husband came along and paitently waited while I shopped and tried on clothes. We stopped for lunch at a small cafe, more shopping then a birthday drink/appetizer, and then a FABULOUS dinner with the husband and kiddos. I know it doesnt sound out of this world but thats as good as it gets on Christmas Eve and I felt like a star all day!!!
Christmas was really really nice, good food and time with my families. I have many stops on Christmas day, and I enjoyed it all!! Well that all flew by and here we are at New Years Eve. Whatcha up to? Were lighting the fireplace, ordering in yummy Thai food and having a movie night! Does it really get any better than that?
I have another 10 days off and hope to get crafty. Come back tomorrow to check out the NEW CTMH Spring catalog, more art and my 2010 goals.

Take a self portrait today...the last day of 2009. If your feeling extra creative, you can take some notes to do a little self refection layout too
Today I have created my 1st Christmas card for 2010. You see Sparkle does a weekly challenge( each sunday)to create a christmas card for 2010. You can even win a prize for entering a card on the 1st sunday of the month. If you challenge yourself to at least 2 cards each Sunday at the end of the year you will have 92 cards to send out by the second Sunday in December. Sparkle did this last year and was well prepared with her cards. I am on board, who wouldnt want to create with their fun Christmas images all year. Iam excited, I will be pulling out old and new images!!!
The challenge this past Sunday was to be inspired by this super YUMMY image ;)
This super cute image is from Stampington & Co, purchased way back in 1998.
I put glitter on the blade of his skates, small snowflakes, and I made border of glitter around the edges of white cardstock. I used my Prismacolor pencils, baby oil and blending stumps to color the image. I didnt use prisma glitter as you can tell, because I am out (its on the UPS truck as we speak) and it really doesnt give it the WOW effect. No worries I will add the prisma when it arrives.
Okay I have rambled enough, what ever your doing tonight be SAFE and have FUN. See u in 2010
