Saturday workday

For this last week to be a short week it seemed so long and BUSY. I know I said I would post it just didnt happen. So today I work, work on posting some art, posting my SBS links in my side bar and paying them a visit,cleaning up this studio and attempting to create!

I created a new banner tell me what you think of it. Is it to busy? too hard to read? I visioned it looking a little different, I wanted to use fun paper but maybe its to busy. Give me your input and I will sit with it this way for about a week and if I dont like it away it goes.

Bad Blogger

Life, work, kids, dinner, dentist appointments etc. I need a vacation, 1 week on a white sandy beach. I have been terrible with keeping this place updated, I cant believe its been 12 days since I posted ( thats awful ).I am a little embarrased. Iam going to keep this short and sweet, its late and I need to get ready for bed and get some sleep. I PROMISE I will be back tomorrow. SBS sis's Iam sorry I havent visited your blogs ( tomorrow that will be a priority)or posted your blogs in my side bar I will get that done in the next 2 days. So sorry to start off this great adventure with the SBS in such a flakey way. I will do much better.

Its Official

Iam now a member of the SISTERHOOD OF THE BLOGGING STAMPERS,Iam in group 23. This is a whole new avenue to meet and bond with sisters with the same passion STAMPING & BLOGGING.

My first official order of business is to share a little about myself, so here goes.

I live in Southern Calif, Iam a wife, mother of 2 teenage sons, Close to my Heart consultant, part time Interior design student (taking the semester off) and full time employee. In college I was fashion design major, I have always loved color and patterns.I love putting things together! I married, quit my job and started a family right away.I put school on hold because all I wanted to do was drink eat and sleep my baby. I soon, very soon 18 months later had another baby, I loved every minute of it. I stayed home for 5 years loving my boys. I was introduced to stamping when my second son was just a newborn. My first catalog was PSX, personal stamp exchange. I couldnt afford to get into it then and just drooled over that catalog. Two years later when I started my part time job I was given a SU catalog OH MY GOSH, attended my first party and that began it all. A few months later I was given a Close to my Heart catalog, OH MY GOSH, OH MY GOSH, had a party and earned lots of free stuff. Then our citys first ever stamp/scrapbook store opened up next door to my job. I spent everyday in that store and I was making some money to boot, you know what was occuring RIGHT? I eventually signed up to be a consultant, that was 7 years ago in September.

I love this craft, its so fulfilling. I love everything about it, the creativity, the products available, the friends, the avenues to meet new friends, the shopping LOL. You know what I mean? Now the sisterhood, this is going to be amazing. I cant wait to share with them and meet each one. I have to post my sisters blog in my sidebar and show them some love. Here Iam sisters, let the fun begin!!!

Well its sunday night late and I should be in bed reading, but wanted to pop in and share my weekend work. Nothing great about this weekend, OH yeah I did go to a SU party, we made two cards. I really miss my acrylic stamps after using two step woodies. The cards were cute. The first piece of art is a layout that took me at least 3 days to finish. I was keeping it simple but kept getting stumped, am I using enough embellishment, should it be a little busier, is it bland, shouldnt my pictures match better. Then the moving of every thing, argghh. Do you ever have a tuff time putting things down and moving on. Heres where you can learn how to make the paper flowers.

It took me two years to use this set

Can you believe that, I fell in love with it the moment I saw it. Having two sons of my own it tugged at my heart. I think the colors and pattern paper work perfectly with this set. I used Taylors cupcake challenge, taking another stab at winning a prize. I really like the card!!

PS I survived shopping yesterday, it wasnt so bad. We went to 7 stores five in the mall and had lunch at the Red Robbin inside the mall. Now that was a different story lots of name calling and pointing out each others flaws. Does it ever stop? I banned all negative talk, they of course became creative. Its been along time since I have had dinner with just the two of them. I told them I wanted one day a week for 1-1 1/2hrs with them one on one, you should have seen there faces. You know maybe get milkshake or ice cream and just talk, when were out and about they want to talk more. I'll let you know how that goes.

Well school starts tomorrow and that means work starts for me. Have a great monday!!!

Hello!!! Today I have the pleasure of taking my sons school shopping, OH JOY. Now I love to shop but being in the mall with 90% of the valley while they shop for school clothes does not excite me. Iam sure I will hear and see lots of agitated parents with highly stressed voices. Belive it or not my youngest son does not want to go and told me he didnt need any new clothes, but just 3 weeks ago he told me none of his pants fit. He hates to shop but my oldest son loves to shop. Maybe I will slip a new top or two in this shopping spree, you know in order to survive the whole ordeal!!!!

I finally made something with my Heidi Swapp playing cards. They are 5x7 in size and there are 54 cards,so I have a lot of creating to do. I dont know if I will make this a theme or just a hodge spodge of creative stuff.

This card is of me, the paper uses alot of orange my favorite color!
