Tuesdays excitment

I made this card for a swap and didnt have any left, so I had to make another to keep or at least to take a picture of it because I thought it turned out really cute.

Today was such a exciting day in photography class, such a simple neat lesson. I learned about my light meter, so cool. I learned what one of my many buttons was for and how to use it. Iam so stoked about this class!!!

The 2 pics below were taken with the sun behind me, no flash. Can u say crisp.

Inside the classroom no flash, WOW.

Color challenge #42

I pulled out a old CTMH set, sometimes you have to remember your old favorites. This hobby moves so fast, new release happen monthly and 2-3 times a year for the bigger companies. If you dont pull out some of your old sets (old could mean stamps from 2 months ago) you will forget about them and they will never get used. I used my pixie again, I will have to use some of the other stitch designs next time. I wish the pixie had guide line near the needle and foot, I feel like a drunk sewer trying to keep the stitches straight.

Heres the TREE

Isn't it amazing?

I guess your never to old to climb a tree!

Saturday happenings

Blogger issues AARRGGHH

How was your saturday? I made it to Malibu and took pictures of the tree, I will post them tomorrow. Had Black Angus for dinner with Mr Bankhead, YUMMY. Was supposed to catch a movie, but when 8pm rolls around all I want to do is go home and put on my jammies.

I wanted to confess that Iam addicted to chewy sweet tarts, you remember the little tangy sweet tarts that are the size of a dime and come rolled up. Well these are mini and chewy and sweet and boy are they good!! They can only be found at Target, believe when I say I have looked many places and they are only found @Target. Next time you there grab a bag, there in the candy aisle in the food section. You wont be disappointed. Let me know what you think of them when you tryem out.

I finally used my Pixie mini sewing machine by Singer, so far so good. How about my stitching? My card was inspired by Dawn MCvey, she always uses bright vibrant colors.

Happy Valentines day

Color challenge #41, I finally got around to doing a color challenge. Sorry the pictures are so lousy, I waited until there was no sun. I dont think you could see the black grograin ribbon behind the red even in natural light. The tree & sentiment was stamped in grey wool and its kinda of washed out. But here it is.

Not doing much today, woke up with a nasty sinus headache and hubby has a cold. So much for a Valentines day. Hope everyone is having a good day!!

I have a couple of swaps to work on stayed tuned.

Should I throw out my unopened jiffy peanut butter, I kinda have a hankering for a good ole P&J sandwhich and a large glass of milk on the rocks:)

R U sick of my ramblings? Okay I will spare you, but one last question

I purchased a blog background from House of 3, it matches my banner BUT I cant get it to load. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Made a couple of journals to keep track of things. Im leaning on a wish book for this one, I like to write down things I wish to purchase or projects around the house want to do etc. I find list from years ago and its neat to read them and cross off things I have done or accomplished. Can I be vain about my own art work, I love this book, the colors, the paper pack just love it!!

A few things about me

I told you I had more to share, Iam sticking to my goal of creating when sitting at my desk!

Spring semester college class's started this week and I turned the table a bit and finally took a photography class. I havent taken a photography class since high school,Iam so stoked. I will have someone talk me through my photoshop, editing, aperture etc. not to mention all the features on my camera. I needed a hands on tutoring session and it doesnt get better than this. The class even put together a Blurb book of our photos.

I Finally used my changito stamp, are they cute or what? The ribbon is from Michaels dollar bin and its so soft! How about that stripe paper? 14 cents @Michaels, love the colors!

Another thing I am a sucker for COOKBOOKS, its kinda of a fetish thing. Borders always has a awesome selection of clearance cookbooks, I buy a bunch each year from books are fun through my job. These are just a few of them, I have 2 shelves in my pantry full of cookbooks. When I buy a new book I sit down with it and some post its, flip through and tag every recipe that sounds DELICIOUS. Every few weeks I pull out a few and make a weekly menu to shop for. Mr. Bankhead loves when the cook books come out, that means YUMMY things will be on the upcoming menu. I actually overheard him passing by my studio and saying OOHH THE COOK BOOKS ARE OUT! I thought that was so cute. My youngest tells me to stop making the exotic dishes, apparently I also make too many dishes using pasta. According to Kam, steak&potatoes are to exotic.

Im Back

I been away to long, as usual I didnt intend to do it. But here I am. We almost had snow on monday, we had snow flurries and some rain and then some flurries and some rain and then some sunshine. I had my class screaming snow, snow, snow, but no real snow.

Have you heard of Nichole Heady she has been featured many times in Papercrafts and Cards magazine. She has her own company Papertreyink. Awesome products, many FABULOUS stamp designers and design team. check out both sites, Nicholes is having daily giveaways and challenges on her blog. Check out Papertreys sneak peaks, the big unveil is February 15 (the 15th is release day each month). Looks like there will be tons of beautiful stamp sets, paper and BUTTONS, OH IM A SUCKER for buttons. I havent purchased any of their products yet (really been doing good with the craft budget taking turns with different companies) but I plan on placing a order at the end of the month. Nothing large but I want those buttons and a couple of stamp sets will suit me just fine!

Another fabulous site I visit daily (sometimes daily) is Dawn Mcvey , this lady is the sweetest thing ever, you know sometimes you can just know, and her sweetness just flows through her post. She makes the most incredible, simple, clean and classy cards. Her colors always just pop. Dawn is on papertreys design team and her first stamp set is releasing on the 15th, she is now a stamp designer. How cool is that!

I have wanted to share a few of my favorite sites with you, I hope you enjoy them. I will share more sometimes.

Im trying to take up a few challenges, I created this tag card for Tag Your It(check the link on the right), Iam also a sucker for tags. This challenge required a tag using purple, I immediately thought of another sweet lady I call my friend. I gave her the card on monday. I started giving away my cards, thats a tuffie 4 me I kinda hoard them.
