Cupcake challenge #75

Keeping this post short, its been a long day. Day started at 10 AM with my Wilton class, where my frosting melted off the side of my cake with any decorations that sat on the top rim of my cake. The frosting was too soft and the shell border and sweet pea flowers on the top were to heavy and it just fell slowly to the bottom. HEY that didnt keep me from eating it, boy was it YUMMY. Next my son took his senior pics and they are going to be pretty darn awesome, cant wait to view them at the studio. I will share one tomorrow that I snapped with my phone. Then summer school for my son and a trip to the super market ( does anyone say that anymore?) Im pooped, I am going to polish off my third piece of cake today and call it a night :)
Sorry for the lighting had to take this picture at night, I let the sun set.

Heres the latest

Hello there in Blog Land!!! Didnt mean to be away so long, I have things downloaded to share but just couldnt get on the computer to post, my youngest sons computer monitor went out and I had to share my laptop for a few days. I intended to get on late at night and post when he wasnt on, BUT he stays on the computer from the minute he rises to well after I in bed. So here Iam, FINALLY!

Heres some Changito luv:) Luv this paper pack from CTMH!

We took a ride to Hollywood last week, havent been there in ages. The kids have never walked the Blvd. so off we went. Fun, such memories of me and the husband cruising or walking the blvd when we were younger, not much changed still a bunch of strange people. Didnt get home until after 2AM, take a look.....

The infamous Grauemanns Mann Chinese Theater, man the history here.

Will Smith. Luv his script next to my sons feet, he also wants to Change The World.

Did I tell you I was a huge Michael Jackson fan!! I was so sad for days, not as sad as when princess Di passed but sad. I sometimes dont like how sensitive my heart is things really effect me. Okay my first concert was The Jackson 5, I was 13. Had no idea what to expect at a concert, but once he hit the stage I lost it. I remember the energy as if it happened last week. Posters on my wall, cassett tapes in my walkman, listened to him on the way to school and on the way home.Penny loafers and high water pants and dont forget the white socks. Saw Mike 3 times in my life time. Took my little sister to her 1st concert to see Michael Jackson she was 8,rented a limo! pretty darn good seats too!

I wont bombard you with too many today, I know you came here to see art:) I will share more on that trip later.

This journey still continues, so much FUN.

Picture taken by my sweet boy, he is in a summer photography class. Pretty good dont you think?

Iam taking a Wilton cake decorating class @Michaels and here is my first cake. My second practice cake is much smoother than this one, the secret to making it smooth was revealed by my instructer after we presented our 1st practice cakes. This is a super fun class and my instructer is a HOOT! Anyway I have wanted to take a class for many, many years and finally with my long vacation I thought it was a perfect time to get the ball rolling. So glad I did, now I am in the need and WANT for a beautiful ORANGE Kitchen Aid mixer. I never thought I would want one, BUT I do. So I will be posting a number of stamp sets for sale in the next day or so to raise some money.

Hope everyone is having a fabulous summer!!!

Humbled Artist creation

Iam entering my 2nd week of my month long vacation, you would think I would be stamping and scrappin my days away (I have created 2 cards). So tomorrow we are off to the beach for a week to stay in our rented beach front cottage and just be beach bums, read, eat, play in the ocean (I wont touch the ocean, the kiddos will), sleep in, play games, walk the beach, build sand castles, eat and visit so local places and eat....... Okay we will not really be doing this, but in my virtual world Iam renting that beach front cottage and enjoying every minute of it:). I do plan to set a daily schedule to get things accomplished household things, business things and just good ole' FUN things.

Well today I show my humbled artist creation and I am second guessing my creation, did I do enough, does it stand out. I do love the colors and the layerd scallops, maybe I should have stiched around the perimeter of the harliquin print.

July 10th guidelines as set by Laurel Seabrook:

Card Size: 5 X 5

Must have 4 – 5 layers

Must have a hand cut item

Must have flowers of some sort

The major color is to be pink

Must include some ribbon

Must include some buttons

Must have a quote stamp on it somewhere

Must include some stitching

Finally something on the card should be 3D (mounted with foam tape)

Check back and see want else I will be doing on my virtual vacation
